Surface:

1. Press Windows key + Shift + S
2. Drag over the part of the screen you want to copy
3. Switch to the program you want to copy the image into and choose paste (Ctrl + V)

Very useful for capturing any content on the screen and pasting into your own context.

iPad:

1. Hold BOTH Home button and  Sleep button together.
2. Tap screenshot that appears in bottom left corner of screen.
3. Tap DONE and choose Save to Photos.
4. Image can then be collected from Camera roll and placed in any application.

Mac

1. Cmd + Shift + 4,  then drag over the part of the screen you want to copy.
2. Navigate to the program you want to paste into.
3. Cmd + V to paste.
